Beliefs

We trust the Bible. It contains everything needed to get acquainted with God, to live well and to be a great church. The Bible is not only inspiring, it is historically and intellectually sound. Because it was written by dozens of authors over 16 centuries, only God could pull the Bible together. The Bible is a fully-aligned Story of how God is saving the world through Jesus. Sure, parts of it are tough to grasp because we live in a different time and place. However, when the Bible is taught clearly, it is understood and its power to change us is unleashed.

Vibrant's Family Values

1. Jesus is our banner.

In a culture that constantly seems to be forcing us to choose a side, the only side we choose is Jesus.

“He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” Colossians 1:15-23

2. We risk our all to reach the one.

We look outward to reach those that don’t yet know Jesus’ love and forgiveness. Sometimes that requires taking risks – financial, material, emotional – but the risk is always worth it so that the lost might be found.

“We had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.” Luke 15:1-32

3. We choose unity.

Unity is not uniformity. We don’t need to dress the same or vote the same – we value our differences! At the same time, we intentionally choose to unite and stay aligned with God’s Word as one church family.

“I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one.” John 17:20-23

4. We honor everyone everywhere.

We are called to love each other. Period. There are no exceptions. While the world tries to create ladders of status or success, we choose to honor each other in all directions – up, down, all around, everywhere.

“Love must be sincere. Hare what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love.” Romans 12:9-21

5. We bring our best & trust God with the rest.

Because God gave us his best, we believe he deserves our best. When we face doubt or uncertainty, we respond with obedience to follow God’s leading and confidence that He’s in control.

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus.” Colossians 3:12-17

6. We don’t take ourselves too seriously.

We embrace honesty, humility, & humor. No perfect people allowed!

“Be what we were made to be, without enviously or pridefully comparing ourselves with each other, or trying to be something we aren’t.” Romans 12:5-13 MSG version

7. You belong (even before you believe).

EVERYONE is welcome. You don’t need to clean yourself up, dress a certain way, or have it all together. You can find a place to belong!
